Device-independent quantum random number generation — extending the proofs to new protocols

Abstract: I will explain the idea behind device-independent quantum random number generators and their motivation. While most proofs use the CHSH protocol, I will talk about new protocols whose aim is to get more randomness per shared entangled state. I will explain how existing proofs need to be adapted to these and give the new results on the randomness rates from the entropy accumulation theorem. This is based on arXiv:1810.13346 joint with Peter Brown and Sammy Ragy.
